What Paint Colours are Trending in 2023

Introduction

4 trending colours are presented here that will play havoc with my branding! What better way to start 2023 than with some interior design colour inspiration for your home? It is a good way in the countdown to Spring with thoughts of warmer days, daffodils and longer days.

Even if you did not have plans for interior design just yet, you can refresh your space with the introduction of colour. Paint your walls, ceilings, wood trims, doors, and kitchen cabinets or upcycle small vintage shop bargains. Of course a “colour of the year" often selected by the major paint companies say they reflect the current mood of the nation - use them if they reflect your mood. Call us if we can help.

An unconventional shade for an unconventional time. Pantone’s Colour of The Year, Viva Magenta 18-1750, vibrates with vim and vigour. It represents a new signal of strength. It is said Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, a pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration. This year’s Color of The Year is powerful and empowering. Have the paint colour mixed by a paint specialist. A similar and vivid but softer paint colour is Fired Earth’s Magenta Oaks.

Never a backdrop, Raspberry Blush is the definition of charismatic colour. This unapologetic shade of red-orange had us thinking: bold, bolder, boldest. This sentiment flows through the rest of the palette as we immerse ourselves in hues that make a statement. Inspired by an artist’s desire to communicate through colour, shape, and sound, Colour Trends 2023 was built to envelop you in vivacious colour.

Sherwin Williams Colour of the Year 2023 - Redend Point

A warm earthy hue. Sherwin Williams encourages us to “embrace a spirit of connection with the world around us with this soulful-yet-subtle hue”.

Finally

No one else but those that mix, discuss, debate, stir, create, & coordinate these pigments to create these colours can describe them more convincingly than the creators themselves. They evoke the emotions and passion that they want us to share. So many of the descriptions are theirs. It is my job to share these with you.

Call us if we can help you incorporate these paint colours or any other colours into your home. Always buy sample pots of your chosen colour and try it out in the room it is intended for.
