My 6 Top Greens for Mid-century Modern
By Studioxtine at Spoonflower.com
Introduction…
It’s that time of year when I feel a little whimsical, so please forgive me. Post-Christmas, post-Chinese New Year, and Valentine’s Day.
My post is about a colour often used in Mid-Century Modern interiors: Sage Green. Green traditionally represents growth, fertility, harmony, renewal, balance, professionalism, wealth, generosity, and, of course, nature. Why wouldn’t you want a sprinkle of this in your home or office?
The key is incorporating a Modern design style to ensure your scheme doesn’t remind you of your grandparents’ house. I’ve chosen 6 of my favourite green paints here.

Mylands - London Plane

Inspired by the leaf of the London Plane tree found in many of London’s parks. Use with White Primer and Undercoat. The natural olive tone of this paint has a fresh, slightly muted look. Green with a slight deep-yellow undertone, London Plane™ No.200 is a traditional shade that perfectly suits both old and modern settings. Mylands is the oldest manufacturer of paints and wood finishes in Great Britain.

Finally…
Ar’mes Design Studio is emotionally influenced by Mid-century but not limited to this style. Take one iconic item, feature it in your room, give a nod to one of the unique colours that are associated with that period of the time and fill the rest of the space with Modern elements to keep it up to date. These Cozy Cats (above) knew what they were doing. Most of my clients have an idea of what they like but not what design style reflects their tastes. Scandinavian, Eclectic, Traditional, English Country, Mid-century Modern, Understated Opulence etc. And, why should they? Shown here Mid-century influences in a totally Modern setting. info@armesdesign.com Drop me a line. How can I help you?
